Menu Space

Probably you already have seen them but when I saw the stunning images of 

 the newly showroom, office, and café - Menuspace -  I wished I could admire it 

myself and book the first possible flight for a quick visit to Copenhagen!

Menu Space is designed in collaboration with Norm Architects for Danish design
 company Menu and the goal was creating a welcoming open space where everyone 

could stop by for a coffee, a meeting, creating great ideas or simply to admire the 

beautiful designs of Menu and build a community around Menu Space that way.

“The idea is to keep Menu Space moving and ever changing. To have friends of the

 house and people we admire stop by on a regular basis and change the interior layout 

however they see fit – ensuring that we always have a vibrant, creative, lively 

space that continues to inspire our neighbours, visitors, friends, clients, and designers”

 The interior is inspired by the raw and industrial setting of the surrounding area,

 the harbour in Nordhavn and according to Norm architiects the space draws heavy 

inspiration  from strong materials that can be found in the area such as concrete and 

steel, providing a beautiful contrast to the objects and designs that fill the plateaus, 

floors, and corners of the space.

Stairs covered in plush, 

pink carpet provide a small hint of what awaits in the depths below, 

and when you step into the subterranean space, 

an explosion of pink surrounds you.

Sometimes the word WOW says it all....

Just admired the amazing press images of the re-opened

experimental showroom of Normann Copenhagen

and I was surprised by the artistic universe  of this unique space 

with its steel corridor, mirrored walls and explosion of color.

Wow... Soms heb je niet veel woorden nodig om aan te geven hoe bijzonder iets is!

Gisteren werd ik echt verrast toen ik een mail kreeg met de nieuwe persbeelden van de onlangs heropende experimentele showroom van Normann Copenhagen. En bijzonder is het echt... Een entree van staal, gespiegelde wanden en binnen wordt je verrast door een explosie van kleur met als hoogte punt de benedenverdieping waar werkelijk elke vierkante centimeter roze is... Echt heel gewaagd om na een periode waarbij alles heel monochrome en ingetogen was ingericht nu deze kleurrijke creative stap te maken...  en heel opmerkelijk want het is voor mij  erg uitnodigend om snel een kijkje te willen nemen en alles te bewonderen!

The Copenhagen cityguide - Cereal

Cereal Magazine has celebrated the launch of their Copenhagen Guidebook

 in Muuto´s stunning showroom about two weeks ago and I can't stop looking 

at these inspiring photos. You might have seen them at other blogs but

I think they're to beautiful not to be shared on my blog... 

The Cereal guidebooks were showcased surrounded by a selection of

 Muuto furniture and products and a few fine art prints featuring photos

 from the guide were mounted on walls of the showroom that I really would 

love to admire before visiting all these selected favourite places 

that we can find in the cityguide...
