tray love - Muuto platform tray

Besides our living room I think the most changed room of our house is the bedroom...
Mostly I'm inspired by some new beautiful accessories and it's so great because by
changing only a few details you can  make a room look so different!

little changes like the color of the bedlinen, adding different shades of grey
(or any other color) ,  displaced accesorries from the livingroom (like the take
time clock by Pepe Heykoop), the beautiful new by Molle soft cushion made of
natural linen and a stunning new tray...

that caught my eye immediately, when I visited the fonQ.nl online store,  was the
platform tray.  In my opion a tray is a perfect accessory that can be used for many
purposes and  in different spaces... Just perfect for a person who loves changes ;-)

The Muuto platform tray is the first project launched by Muuto by designers
who are not Scandinavian. The London studio of designers Sam Hecht and Kim Colin
wanted to design an object that gave more from less; a product with duality
that incorporates the idea of Scandinavian design by involving functionality
on different levels combined with Japanese craft.

The tray consists of a plastic container with four stubby feet and an oak veneer insert.
The feet not only allow the container to be picked up and moved easily,
but also act as a stacking method when one is put inside another.

Like I said above for me a tray is a perfect accessory to create beautiful corners and
stillifes in your home. When you follow me on instagram you already might
have seen some different styling ideas that I've shared...
This coming few weeks I will show you more ideas by using the tray
in different ways and in different spaces would love to meet you there!

Muuto news

Yesterday I was so excited to find beautiful new products as the Ambit rail lamp,
the Halves side table, the Focus table lamp, the Accent cushions and
existing designs in new colors as tangerine and dusty red in my maibox!

Muuto has shared their new and renewed designs and I just love the added products.
Besides the stunning Compile shelving systeem (on my wishlist) and the
timeless fiber chairs,  The five pouf (designed by Andersen & Voll)
with its pentagon shapes is still my favorite...

You will find the new Spring/Summer catalogue
with its inspiring press images here

FOLDED - #onmyshelf

photos by Muuto

One of my most favorite ways to give my livingroom a different
appearance is making still lifes... I have a number of favorite corners and spots
to create them but when I saw the press images of the  new wall shelves
by Muutocalled folded,   I was inspired and have added
them immediately on my neverending wish list.

Dutch designer Johan van Hengel created the decorative and
practical shelf system and I love its minimalist look!
Johan was inspired by a play on layers and shadow, the slender shelf’s
unique shape is based on a seemingly simple bending technique
involving a single sheet of ‘folded’ metal.

The shelves can be used in many ways but for me
they are just perfect for organizing and displaying everyday
favorite things like I do so often and love so much...

The Copenhagen cityguide - Cereal

Cereal Magazine has celebrated the launch of their Copenhagen Guidebook
in Muuto´s stunning showroom about two weeks ago and I can't stop looking
at these inspiring photos. You might have seen them at other blogs but
I think they're to beautiful not to be shared on my blog...

The Cereal guidebooks were showcased surrounded by a selection of
Muuto furniture and products and a few fine art prints featuring photos
from the guide were mounted on walls of the showroom that I really would
love to admire before visiting all these selected favourite places
that we can find in the cityguide...

definitely on my wishlist... see more of the guide here!

Muuto news

Danish brand Muuto has introduced their new collection and when I opened my mailbox today
I was attracted immediately by the amazing and inspiring images of their campaign...

I really liked the simple and elegant zigzag pattern of the PLY rugs which is based on
traditional weaving methods and designed by Margrethe Odgaard
but also by the new CONTROL lamp and the LEAN lamp.

For me the real eyecatcher of the new additions are the amazing
"FRAMED" mirrors with its color tinted glass in rose, taupe and grey and available
in different shapes. The goal of design company Anderssen & Voll was
to design a mirror that was more than a smooth surface.
I think Frame has become a decorative design object don't you think so?

The new additions will be available in stores in April/May and I can't wait to admire them!

black fiber chair

love this amazing and inspiring workspace seen at the latest Muuto campaign...
just perfect for my monday mood (and my future home office!)

Muuto has released a black version of the fiber chair
and I think it's a perfect addition to the current (100% recyclable) chair collection
designed by the Copenhagen-based design duo Iskos-Berlin

read all about the design process here and have a great new week!

the new used materials (composite) in the lamp's construction
should add an unexpexted soffness and warmth
according designer Jens Fager... Well I can't wait to admire!

Grain is made of a mixture of bamboo fibres and polypropylene with a rubber cord
it will be available in black, grey, dusty, red, nature and duste green
