Today some snapshots that I made last Wednesday.

After a busy period at work these past weeks I finally had the time to

check out some things and enjoy some free time at home.

I´m so excited,   this week I am leaving for Milan for a few days!

It has been on my wishlist for a long time to visit the Milan Design Week 

so I´m really looking forward to it! 

Because we only stay for a short time and because there's so much to see 

I´m trying to collect as much information as possible about inspiring must see and 

must go places so tips are more than welcome!

musiclove - the stylish headphones of JBL

Naast alles wat met interieur te maken heeft, hou ik enorm van muziek
(Ik schreef hier al eerder een blogpost over)  Ik kan me echt niet voorstellen dat ik ook
 maar één dag zonder muziek door zou moeten brengen en nu onze jongens wat
 ouder worden is er eigenlijk altijd wel ergens in ons huis muziek te horen. 

Dat de muzieksmaken nogal uiteenlopen zal je niet verbazen en dat er daarnaast ook
 nog flink gegamed wordt (met alle geluiden die daarbij voorbij komen) vast ook niet!
 Hoe gezellig het ook allemaal lijkt, soms is die mix van muzieksmaken en die 
geluiden niet om aan te horen en is het gewoon ook wel eens heerlijk om zelf even te
 kunnen genieten van je eigen muziekje, hangend op de bank met een tijdschrift en een 
heerlijke kop thee erbij... hoogste tijd voor een extra koptelefoon dachten wij!

Na een uitgebreide zoektocht kwamen we bij het merk JBL terecht en toen we 
van warenhuis fonQ het geweldige aanbod kregen om de JBL E65 Wireless Noise
 Cancelling Over-Ear Koptelefoon uit te proberen leek me dat een geweldig idee, 
zeker nadat ik in de productinformatie las dat de Noise Cancelling er voor zorgt dat je 
de wereld met één druk op de knop "uit kunt zetten" en daardoor niet wordt afgeleid door 
storende geluiden om je heen! Ideaal in een druk gezin en het werkt echt!

Toen ik eindelijk zelf aan de beurt was om muziek te luisteren via de koptelefoon 

heb ik me heerlijk op de bank gesetteld en echt gigantisch genoten.. het omgevingsgeluid 
werd echt tot een minimum beperkt en de bluetoothverbinding met mijn telefoon werkte perfect. 
Ook kun je heel handig schakelen tussen de muziek op je muziekspeler en bijvoorbeeld een inkomende oproep op je telefoon. De ingebouwde microfoon werkt perfect en daardoor is de koptelefoon ook weer te gebruiken door de jongens als ze bijvoorbeeld 
in groepsverband gaan gamen via internet!

Wat ik, naast het fantastische geluid en het stijlvolle hippe ontwerp heel prettig vond zijn de ergonomische oorkussens. Hierdoor krijg je geen last van je oren, zelfs niet tijdens de uitgebreide game sessie van de jongens! De koptelefoon is na intensief gebruik binnen twee uur weer opgeladen en dan kun je ongeveer weer zo'n 15 uur via bluetooth muziek luisteren... Echt ideaal voor muziekliefhebbers zoals wij en de fijnste koptelefoon die we tot nu toe hadden!

Besides everything that has to do with interior, I really love music. I really can't imagine that I would have to spend a day without music. Now that our boys are getting older, there's always someone listening to music in our house. You will not be surprised that the taste of music is quite varied and that besides the music,  the're  also a lot of  sounds by gaming for exemple.  How cozy it all seems, sometimes that mix of  music tastes and other sounds is not very pleasant, especially if you had planned to listen to your own music... time for headphones we thought!

after an extensive search we ended up with the JBL brand and when we were offered to try out  the JBL E65 Wireless Noise Canceling Over Ear headphones by dutch warehouse fonQ,  it seemed like a great idea, especially after I read at the product information that the Noise Canceling allows you to switch off the world! Just by touching one button you wont be distracted by annoying sounds around you! Ideal in a busy family like ours and it really works ...

When it finally was my turn to listen to music with the headphones, I decided to settle myself on the couch with a magazine and a nice cup of tea and spend a great afternoon by relaxing. At that point  I discovered that the ambient noise was really reduced to a minimum and the bluetooth connection with my phone worked perfectly. You can also easily switch between the music on your music player and an incoming call on your phone. The built-in microphone works perfectly and therefore the headphones are also easy to use when the boys go to play in groups through the internet!

What I liked very much in addition to the fantastic sound and stylish hip design are the ergonomic ear pads. This will not bother your ears, even during the extensive game session of the boys! The headphones are recharged within two hours and then you can listen for about 15 hours via bluetooth music ... Really ideal for music lovers like us!

New Fav - BEOplay A1

 

Sundaymornings are for slow starts dont you think so?

This morning - my first vacayweekend -  started with lots of coffee,

 listening to some good music and ofcourse with the 
best company...  my family :-) 

And it really was a fun day... A little while ago I was looking for a

 new portable bluetooth speaker to take with us  during our vacation to France, 

 or for cosy evenings with family and friends in the garden or just to use indoors. 

Since I really like a good sound and a beautiful and stylish design aswell

 I ended up at the products of B&O at online warehouse fonQ.  

Yesterday we finally received the Beoplay A1 Bluetooth speaker (designed by 
Danish designer Cecilie Mantz) and from that moment our home was filled 

with the most varied music because the speaker has accompanied the whole family during

 the day. Everybody wanted to try it - and keep it ;-) - and with its compact design
 (only Ø 13.3 cm) the Beoplay fits easily in the palm of your hand, but it's even easier to
 carry or hang it with the leather strap.  

And I must say, even tough the speaker is very small,  behind the aluminum case

 go two speakers, good for a peak power of 280 Watts and in addition, the stunning 

True360 sound is spread in all directions. So it doesn't matter where you place 

the speaker, the sound always reach your destination in a perfect way!

Beoplay A1 is designed to take its fair share of bumps and scrapes while still 

protecting the delicate drivers and electronics inside. The more it travels with you,

 the more stories it can tell,  they say at B&O, So it's just perfect to join us this week when 
we will travel to our sunny vacay destination at the South of France... 
Can't wait to try it out there and enjoy the cosy moments!

FUWL cage table by Menu - tablelove

Na een drukke periode vol interieur inspiratie in Zweden en Duitsland vandaag weer eens
 wat foto's van mijn woonkamer! Onze vernieuwde woonkamer eigenlijk... want tijdens de kerstvakantie zijn we begonnen met klussen en het opfrissen van ons huis. 

Omdat we niet zo'n hele ruime woonkamer hebben en onze houten lockerkast

 naar de opgeknapte kamer van onze zoon zou verhuizen,  was ik al een tijd 

aan het kijken voor een stijlvolle hangende wandkast waardoor de kamer ook wat ruimer

 zou ogen en we toch redelijk veel opbergruimte zou hebben.

Ook was ik al een tijdje op zoek naar een nieuwe koffietafel... Lekker hip en

minimalistisch, niet al te groot maar wel met genoeg ruimte om toch wat accessoires 

er op te kunnen neer leggen dat was wat ik zocht! Dus toen ik onlangs de persbeelden 

van de Menu SS2017 collectie zag met  daarbij de vernieuwde witte en zilverkleurige

FUWL cage table (ontworpen door Form us with love) wist ik dat dit het soort 

model was dat ik zocht!  De doordachte combinatie van het mooie strakke

 ontwerp en de functionaliteit is zo gaaf!

De zwarte versie van de FUWL cage bijzettafel vond ik op bij fonQ! 

Omdat het blad van deze tafel gemaakt is van warm donker essenhout 

(in tegenstelling tot het marmer van de vernieuwe SS2017 versie) en het frame 

van mooi mat zwart gepoedercoat staal,  had deze variant 

van de cage bijzettafel mijn voorkeur! Het feit dat je de tafel, als je het blad er af haalt, 

ook als opbergmand voor bijvoorbeeld tijdschriften of warme kleden kunt gebruiken

 sprak mij enorm aan... Houden we niet allemaal van het regelmatig veranderen 

van ons interieur of het hergebruiken van onze accessoires van tijd tot tijd?

After some busy weeks filled with Swedish and German interior inspiration today 

some photos of our living room! Our changed living room actually...  during our Christmas break we started doing odd jobs and upgrading our home. Because I knew our wooden locker closet would to move to my sons room and because our living is quit small I have been looking for a stylish hanging wall cabinet to create a more spacious look. 

Also I was searching quite a while for a new coffee table... It had to be a Minimalist, not too large one but with enough space to lay down some of my fav stuff ! So when I recently saw the press photos of the Menu SS2017 collection with the renewed FUWL cage table (designed by Form us with love) I knew this was the kind of model that I was looking for! The thoughtful combination of its stunning design and functionality is so cool!

I found the black edditon of the FUWL cage side table at NL webshop fonQ! I prefered this version because the top of this table is made of warm dark ash wood (in contrast to the marble top of the renewed SS2017 version) and of its matte powder coated steel frame.  I also like the fact that the design focuses on function combining the table with a storage unit underneath. The basket under the wooden the table is perfect for storing magazines or blankets!

Ondanks dat ik echt zomermens ben geniet ik ook enorm van deze tijd van het jaar.

De warme gezelligheid binnen met de kaarsjes aan en vanaf november de 
voorbereidingen op alle feestdagen die er aan komen. Deze dagen beginnen bij ons met 

het Sint Maarten feest en eindigen met een knallende afsluiting van het jaar!

I really like this time of the year... It's the time of the year where we decorate our homes a little bit more than we normally do and where we spend cosy moments with our families and light the candles. I am slowly getting into the Christmas mood and I love picking original presents during the festive period which started with the typical Dutch Sint Maarten evening and will end up with a smashing start of the new year! Recently  I visited the site of dutch online warehouse FonQ where I found these beautiful gift boxes of Danish brand Hay.

hook2 - diy kidsroom inspiration

  

a stunning "M" hook on the wall, 

a few screws as extra hangers for clothes or other cool accessories and

 wood packaging material as a stunning recycled storage tray...

we just loved this weeks DIY project at M's future room!

We are making plans to redecorate the room of our youngest son, 

his football stuff  (bye bye Lionel Messi) will take place for a tougher look!

Inspired by Hook 2,  a new decorative accessory of the Designletters collection,  

we tried out some ideas with the intention of keeping it

 low budget, inspiring and cool!

The simple can be so beautiful... Wish you all a Happy Weekend!

Een prachtige grafische M haak aan de muur, een paar schroeven als extra hangers voor kleding en andere stoere accessoires en houten verpakkingsmateriaal recycled als een stoer opbergvak voor rondslingerde spulletjes... 
wat was het leuk afgelopen week om dit diy-project in de toekomstige slaapkamer van M te doen!

We zijn druk bezig en plannen aan het maken om de kamer van onze jongste zoon te veranderen.   Zijn voetbal spullen (bye bye Lionel Messi) gaan plaats maken voor een stoerdere look! Geïnspireerd door Hook 2, een nieuwe decoratieve wandhanger uit de collectie van  het deense merk Designletters, probeerden we een aantal ideeën uit met de bedoeling het low budget te houden, inspirend en vooral heel erg cool! Eeenvoud kan zo mooi zijn ...  Wens jullie allemaal een gezellig weekend toe!

I love the little details... I have said it before but I really think
they always make the difference!

  Inspired by the beautiful accessories of the latest Design letters collection,

based on some new discovered patterns designed by Arne Jacobsen

that I have admired at their press presentation in Kopenhagen two weeks ago, 

I have changed things up in my bedroom by moving some things and by having some of 
my new most wanted AJ pieces around me like the floral bedcover, 

the gorgeous green AJ Royal Vintage vase and the travelbook with its geometric pattern.

All beautiful, but different pieces - I just can not choose a favorite... do you? 

Just love the stunning contrast between the crispy whites and the varied added details
 another changingmood in my bedroom...  Today some snapshots!

lamplove - Pion by Hay

                 On the table, on or in a Cabinet or on the floor... some lamps radiate anywhere!

I always had an eye on unique and separate lamps and they have always inspired me

 in my unstoppable sense of changing and restyling our living room.

So when dutch online store fonQ.nl asked me if a would be interesting in 

making a review about the Hay Pion lamp it was a great opportunity! 

This new purchase from this always inspiring Danish design brand,

 invited me to go look around for some of my favourite monochrome treasures

 collected over the years and to exhibit them on my bench. 

Some beautiful magnolia branches completed this new bright natural look at this corner! 

So yes.. once again I discovered that adding only a few other details

 really made the difference! It gave me the feel of creating Spring inside!

The Wrong for Hay (a collaboration between Danish design brand HAY and 

London-based designer Sebastian Wrong) Pion lamp is designed

 by Bertjan Pot. Bertjan graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. 

His work is about curiosity for materials and experiments and

 that's what atracted  me immediately.

The Pion is made of aluminum, and... paper! How special is that! 

Through the paper use the lamp diffuse the light in the room and creates a cozy atmoshpere. 

Because its attractrive design the Pion lamp really fits in any interior don't you think so?

I my opinion the remarkable and uncommon form makes the Pion lamp 

by Hay a beautiful eyecatcher for every room.
