styling inspiration

My new week couldn´t start better than with the images of
the latest work of stylist duo Sundling Kicken

In cooperation with 15 Scandinavian designers and retailers team Sundling and Kicken
was asked to create press images where they should give the accessories as
posters, frames, lighting, hand-picked ceramics and home textiles
a stylish an inspiring podium with a spotlight on every single detail...
they did such a great job, just love it all!

Elements - Bolon

Creating balance between people, objects and their surroundings, Elements is a discreet collection,
characterised by warm tonality, natural balance and sustainable values. -Bolon -

Despite the fact that Instagram's ever-changing algorithm does not always help us
to show the people and brands we love to follow, I think it's one of the most inspiring sources.
Last week I really enjoyed the fact being able to follow the Stockholm Furniture Fair and
admire all the inspiring images that came along.

One of the new collections that was launched at the fair is the Elements collection from Bolon
Bolon is a Swedish design company managed by sisters Annica and Marie Eklund
Under their leadership, Bolon has been transformed from a traditional weaving mill into an international design brand, with a focus on innovative flooring and creative interiors.
“Elements" is based around nature and is an example of quite classic design in the
Scandinavian or East Asian sense reflecting the minimalist ideas that often express
themselves in both aesthetics

My attention was caught immediately when I saw these inspiring images pass by
at the IG stories of talented Therese Sennerholt, the art director of this campaign.
The campaign was shot on three different locations in Copenhagen, one of them is
SMK Statens Museum for Konst with its beautiful richly decorated high ceilings.

Besides the stunning mix of the artisanal appearance of the flooring (inspired by the
warm and dusty melanges found in nature), the beautiful objects and their surroundings
I was also inspired by the amazing stylingwork of  Danish stylist Gitte Kjær
Just love the created atmosphere of demonstrating the positive effect that
good design can have on our senses and wellbeing...

Prachtig!

a New York loft in a Swedish cardboard factory

What do you get if you combine a cardboard factory,  built in 1912,   with the atmosphere of a stylish loft in New York?  A great unique apartment with an industrial ceiling and large windows,  where the brick walls have been carefully preserved and the bedroom is delineated by an industrial glass wall ...

It had been a while since I looked at one of my favorite Swedish real estate sites
but I know it is always worth it ... there is always an inspiring dream home
to be found don't you think so?

This weekend when I visited the site of Alvhem my attention was attracted
immediately by this fantastic apartment, styled by styling duo Sundling Kickén!
Love love love the amazing atmosphere created by the mix of furniture, art and
other accessories and the perfect stylingwork...

see more of this stunning place here and be inspired!

IMM 2018 favorites - String furniture

If you follow me on instagram you might have noticed that this
last week was all about travelling and interior inspiration ...
I really love city trips and combining those two  was just perfect!

Last weekend I visited Copenhagen with my love and this Thursday I traveled

Initially we would travel with an organized press trip but due to the terrible weather
conditions it ran completely different and we were almost too late for the tour.
Fortunately we made it because I did not want to miss it!

One part of the tour and also one of my favorites was the stand of String furniture!
The inspirational stand was (just like last year - see here) styled by Lotta Agaton and her team
consisting of Pella Hedeby and Marie Ramse and it really looked stunning!
I love their stylingwork and the color- accessory and material use so much ...
Beautiful simplicity that gives the String products extra shine!

Next to the older accessories, there were also new products to admire.
In addition to my new favorite;  the beautiful String pocket in oiled teak or smoked oiled oak
We could also admire the bottle and wine  hanger of the iconic design from 1949,
'the home bar,' and also the mirror cabinet, which can be integrated into the
modular shelves system. It can change the bathroom in an exclusive and, above all,
useful beauty zone. All new accessories in the String Collection are designed by
Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström and are great additions to the
current collection dont yoy think so?

Just another beautiful exemple that details really make the difference

a perfect mix of old and new

Love visiting and being inspired by the creative styling team of Livet Hemma
Today I was pleasantly surprised again by the inspiring work of
Linnea Salmen with a special attention for the stylish
Cikada armchair from the early 60's.

Just love the way the discreet color scale has been mixed with graphic elements,
a little bit messy wallet and objects to create a personal atmosphere and
have you seen the black and white mosaic table?
just loved that DIY project from a while ago by Pella Hedeby!

a perfect mix of the new and the old and guess what...
Ikea is having a vintage competition at instagram (@ikeasverige) from this Saturday
where you will have the chance to win the amazing chair designed by

Styling: Linnéa Salmén | photos: Ragnar Òmarsson

Ypperlig... finally!

Finally it will be in the stores very soon... from this week we will be able
to admire the collection where a lot of us look forward to:
the Ikea cooperation with Danish brand Hay - the Ypperlig collection - !

Already had a little list of the products that I would love to see
but when I saw this stylish dining / workspace at home area (created by Pella Hedeby)
with a range of the functional design furniture,
I admit... I almost cant wait to see them and add
some more favorites on my wishlist ;-) What are yours?

Happy new week!
