Sundaymood with Meraki

Wat is er, na een drukke week,  fijner dan een rustige lazy Sunday 

waarbij je alle tijd hebt om heerlijk te experimenteren met fijne poducten...

Vanochtend had ik zo'n ochtend en daar kreeg ik zoveel energie van! 

Een tijdje geleden heb ik onze slaapkamer weer helemaal licht en vooral leeg gemaakt.

Ik hou echt van die rustige eenvoud in onze slaapkamer.  Mooi fris beddengoed, 

het bankje met wat accessoires, een mooie print, tijdschriften en mijn favoriete beauty-
producten in de buurt maken het voor mij echt af! 

Vandaag kon ik dus eindelijk de nieuwe producten van Meraki uitproberen

 die ik een tijdje geleden uit mocht zoeken bij fonQ. nl. Ik was al bekend met 

de zachte en  heerlijk ruikende handcreme en de handzeep maar toen ik de 

mooi gestylde foto's bij de uitgebreide collectie van dit Deense merk op de site van dit 

online warenhuis tegenkwam nodigde dat erg uit om dit merk beter te leren kennen! 

Meraki haalt zijn inspiratie uit de Scandinavische cultuur en natuur en creëert 

prachtige collecties met lifestyle producten. Meraki geeft aan dat ze alleen het beste gebruiken dat de natuur te bieden heeft voor mooie esthetische en verzorgende producten die vooral inspelen op de ontwikkeling van het lichaam en de ziel. Zo streven ze er naar vooral natuurlijke parfums, essentiële oliën en vitaminen die biologisch zijn te gebruiken. 

Omdat ik erg nieuwsgierig was geworden heb ik echt een hele diverse bestelling bij fonQ gedaan. Zo wilde ik graag de conjac spons uitpoberen die ervoor zorgt dat je huid extra zacht wordt en een mooie gloed geeft. Verder probeerde ik de bamboe houtskool handzeep en de Cotton haze shampoo uit en,  om het helemaal compleet te maken,  de verfrissende gezichtsspray.  Stuk voor stuk heerlijke produkten die mij na gebruik echt een luxueus, uitgerust gevoel gaven en die er daarnaast ook nog eens heel stijlvol uitzien. Echte eyecatchers voor in de badkamer of slaapkamer dus!

ps. Omdat ik zo van de geur fig houd probeerde ik ook nog de Meraki interieurverfrisser...

 Echt een aangename manier om je huis heerlijk fris te laten ruiken!

I really love these exceptional lazy Sunday mornings where we have all the time to experiment with some fine beauty products. This morning I had such a morning and it gave me so much energy! A while ago I changed our bedroom back into a light and serene space ... I really like that quiet simplicity in our bedroom Nice fresh linens, the bench with a only a few accessories, magazines and some of my favorite beauty products is just fine for me.  Today I could finally try some new products of Meraki that I found at the site of utch webshop fonQ a while ago.  I was already familiar with the soft and fragrant handcream and hand soap but when I saw the very inviting stylish  photos of the extensive collection of this Danish brand it made me wanted  to get to know more of this brand!

Meraki takes its inspiration from the Scandinavian culture and nature and creates wonderful collections with lifestyle products. Meraki indicates that they use only the best that nature has to offer for nice aesthetic and cosmetic products that are especially responsive to the development of the body and the soul. So they strive there to mostly natural perfumes, essential oils and vitamins that are organic! 

After reading this  I became very curious and ordered a few different produkts. I really wanted to try the conjac sponge (makes your skin extra soft and a gives it a nice glow)  Furthermore, I tried the handseep and the Cotton bamboo charcoal haze shampoo and to compleet it the refreshing facial spray.  All delicious products that gave  me a luxuriously and relaxed feel. Also all the Meraki products look very stylish ... In my opion real eye-catchers for the bath- or bedroom!

IMM Cologne 2017

As I mentioned in my previous post about Formex 2017, these past few weeks have been filled with inspiration. It started during my visit at Stockholm and it continued a few days
 later one of the largest fairs in the field of furniture and interior design:  IMM Cologne where I was invited to join a press tour.

The tour started with a visit at the amazing, all-white stand of Swedish brand String furniture. On my blog I've shared news and images about the String collections several times and at Cologne I was inspired again by the original and creative styling work by Lotta Agaton for String. During the fair String has launched 3 new warm colors for their String pocket collection: Burgundy, mustard and sand. 

Zoals ik in de voorgaande post over Formex 2017 al aangaf heb ik de afgelopen week veel wooninspiratie op kunnen doen. Eerst tijdens mijn bezoek aan Stockholm en daarna tijdens de perstour op één van de grootste beurzen op het gebied van meubel- en interieurdesign IMM Cologne waar ik samen met een aantal journalisten en bloggers een rondleiding kreeg!

De tour begon bij de fantastisch, volledig in het wit ingerichte stand van het Zweedse merk String.

Ik heb al regelmatig over de presentaties van de nieuwe collecties van String geschreven en werd ook dit keer enorm geinspireerd door het orginele en creative stylingwerk van Lotta Agaton. Tijdens de beurs heeft String 3 nieuwe warme kleuren voor hun String pocket geintroduceerd: Bordeaux, Mosterdgeel en Zandkleur

Beside the well known classics we could admire a number of designs from the new collection at the stand of Thonet. Personally I really liked the sidetable S 18,  designed by Uli Budde. Because of its playful design this side table fits in every interior in my opion, 

I have also admired the recently launched 1090 series consisting of a beautiful table (available in Essen and Oak) and 2 different benches with nice rounded corners whose frame is made of a thin, curved flat bar steel with a black cast iron finish. And have you seen table lamp Kuula? This new minimalist table lamp was really my personal favorite!

Bij de stand van Thonet waren naast de klassiekers ook een aantal nieuwe ontwerpen te bewonderen uit de collectie. Ik vond zelf bijzettafel S 18 ontworpen door Uli Budde erg mooi. Deze bijzettafel past door het speelse ontwerp eigenlijk in elk interieur. Ook heb ik uitgebreid de onlangs gelanceerde nieuwe 1090 serie bewonderd die bestaat uit een  prachtige tafel (in Essen en eiken verkrijgbaar) en 2 verschillende banken met  mooie afgeronde hoeken waarvan het frame gemaakt is van een dun, gebogen vlakke staaf staal met een zwarte gietijzeren afwerking. Ken de je tafellamp Kuula al? Deze nieuwe minimalistische tafellamp  was echt mijn persoonlijke favoriet! 

Through her blog and her Instagram account we where able to follow her choices and 

have little sneakpeeks when she made plans to decorate her IMMspired booth at 
the Bloggers Trend show. This whole project must have been so exciting for Desiree!
So yes... It was a great pleasure to admire all these sneakpeeks in real life at the cosy and 
stylish decorated booth of always inspiring Dutch blogger Vosgesparis!  
I have been following the blog of Desiree for years and she really succeeded to create 
her own tough but warm recognizable atmosphere ... She did such a great job.! 

By using the selected products of IMM exhibitors Desiree created an accessible atmosphere that was very inviting to enter her "home" and to stay a little longer to enjoy and admire 
everything around and have a little chat... On her blog you can see a nice overview!

Via haar blog en haar instagram account had ik het voortraject en haar keuzes al een beetje kunnen volgen en bekijken maar om dit allemaal bij elkaar te zien in de gezellige en stylish ingerichte booth van Desiree van het blog Vosgesparis was allesovertreffend.  Ik volg het blog van Desiree al jaren en ze heeft echt haar eigen stoere herkenbare smaak zo ontzettend goed neergezet in de stand! Met behulp van de door haar geselecteerde producten van IMM exposanten creerde ze een toegankelijke sfeer die erg uitnodigend was om lekker lang te blijven hangen... Op haar blog kun je een mooi overzicht zien!

The guided press tour ended at the beautiful Design Post. In this magnificent building in which international- but also many Dutch brands are represented,  I was surprised by

 the exquisite collection of Arper. I knew this Italian brand yet but after seeing more of it I'm really interested to discover more of this great collection.

 I loved the soft colors and the design of the renewed Catifa 46 Chair! The used soft tones  of the acoustic wall decoration in the showroom combined with the soft pink bank and the beautiful black Song coat rack were very inviting to come back  soon and to enjoy more of the warm atmosphere.

Als afsluiter van de tour volgde een rondleiding bij Design Post. In dit prachtige gebouw waarin internationale- maar ook veel Nerderlandse merken zijn vertegenwoordigd werd ik zelf enorm verrast door de prachtige collectie van Arper. Ik kende dit Italiaanse merk nog niet zo goed maar ben door de geweldige collectie echt geinteresseerd geraakt. De zachte kleuren van de hernieuwde Catifa 46 stoel vond ik heel erg mooi! De gebruikte zachte tinten in de showroom van de acoustische muurdecoratie gecombineerd met de zachte roze bank en de mooie zwarte Song kapstok maakte dat ik steeds terug wilde kijken om meer van de sfeer te proeven.

vt wonen & designbeurs 2016

 

 If you follow me on instagram you might have seen that

I have been visiting the vtwonen & design fair in Amsterdam this week

and just like every year I really had a great time...

I have seen so much pretty things and it was such fun!

The fair is always a sort of meeting point of bloggers and

 people from instagram with a large interest in homedecoration and

 it's always fantastic to meet each other and discuss the

upgoing interior trends in the Netherlands seen at the fair.

What struck the most is that the plants trend is still going very strong.

At the fair you can find beautiful greens everywhere and

not only in plants but also as one of the trendy colors for wall decoration.

Dark green, grey, ocre and dark blue hues where definitely the most seen colours

at the fair... perfect for a colorful and cosy autumn and winter season!

If you know me a little bit, It will probably not surprise you

 that one of my favourite spots at the fair was the garden/greenhouse area of the 

decorated XXL home of vtwonen magazine where I started my visit. 

Just loved the stunning greenhouse and the surrounded outside area

where I had a nice chat with vtwonen stylist Marianne Luning. 

Today some snapshots of the very colourful inspiring homes of the dutch

magazines at the fair and another favourite spot, the stunning decorated

 cabin bij Combitex. Love their amazing and always creative projects with 

vintage material, used old army accessories and plants. 

Today it's all about vintage, green , blue, ocre, grey and plants

Zoals je wellicht al op mijn instagam zag heb ik afgelopen donderdag de vtwonen &designbeurs bezocht.
Ik bezoek de beurs al jaren samen met Christine (etsy shop house of C) en ook dit jaar hebben we naast het bewonderen van veel mooie ideeen in de gedecoreerde woonhuizen van de tijdschriften ook weer erg genoten van de gezelligheid met andere bloggers en interieur liefhebbers van instagram. Dit jaar was het duidelijk dat de plantentrend in Nedeland nog steeds erg gaande is. Heel veel groen zagen we terugkomen en dan niet alleen in de plantensoorten maar dit jaar ook als trendy kleur voor op de wand samen met veel andere donkere kleuren zoals blauw, oker, en grijs. Verder zagen we veel  mooie vintage accessoires. Vooral in het vt wonen huis zagen we pachtige exemplaren!  Verder heb ik weer erg genoten van het geweldige huisje van Combitex.  Ik ben echt fan van de vindingrijke en creative ideeen en projecten van Jeanette van Combitex. Vandaag een kleine impressie van de beurs. Fijne zondag!

yesterday I visited the Amsterdam Woonbeurs 

where you could find me at the bloggerscafe
together with a group of inspiring dutch bloggers
and our lovely host Kirsten Jassies

and it was amazing... I really enjoyed the day!

Before we went to the bloggerscafe
we started  with a sneakpeek at the inspiration
houses of the dutch decoration magazines
and during the day I have visited and admired the whole fair
where I made lot's of photos

I have met so much nice people, seen so much inspiration

but we also joined a little styling event organized 

by the people of the woonbeurs

Together with my blogfriends Christine of House of C and 

Susanne of Suus Loves we borrowed some props 

of some sweet standholders

 (thank you so much Designlemonade, by Zenz, studiodewinkel, and Burbri!)

and really had a great time and lot's of fun by

creating a stilllife..

The Woonbeurs is open until Sunday the 5th of October...
