Pivot cabinet

In addition to all the Christmas inspiration and gift ideas in my mailbox today,  

the pressmail of Dutch table specialist Arco,  about the stunning Pivot cabinet

 (designed in 2008 by Shay Alkalay and his London-based Raw Edges studio)

 caught my attention immediately due to its beautiful timeless minimalist design

"Pivot  is a solid wood cabinet which is built on tall legs and features two drawers. 

The innovative aspect of this cabinet is the fact that the drawers can hinge, 

making it possible to open both drawers at the same time, which is impossible 

with a conventional set of drawers and just perfect  for storing 

small items and everyday necessities" 

Besides my favorites in oak, natural walnut and black,  Arco has launched

 the Pivot in a new palette of 12 urban colours  ranging from a rich petrol and stunning red 

to emerald green! Really love its beautiful and inventive design that will be a real 

eyecatchter for each room, dont you think so?

Cabinetlove - IKEA PS 2017

Tomorrow I will be visiting the IKEA Stockholm 2017 launch in 

Amsterdam and I am really looking forward ...  but there's also stunning news 

about the coming IKEA PS2017 collection!

The new PS 2017 collection contains many accessories for an updated bedroom. 

Just loved the inspiring press images (seen at livet hemma)  with the new little 

harsh storage cabinet in galvanized steel that also perfectly can be used as a 

mood board to collect all our ideas and favorite images. 

 And have you seen the stylish floor lamp in matt dark blue??? 

Cant wait to admire... just added it on my wishlist!

like I said in my previous posts I really like this time of the year...

It's the time of the year where we decorate our homes a little bit more than we

stylish + cabinet

Just admired this "Ikea hack" where the team of Livet Hemma 

created a new stylish version of the IVAR cabinet.

With the help of sidetable Nornas, that was transformed into legs of the Cabinet, and

 some added black painted graphics they gave the cabinet a whole new caracter

just loved this simple double DIY idea

it also made me think of a creative competiton, 

organised a few years ago by dutch brand Histor, 

 in which the participants had to create their own personal collectors item

 with a wooden cabinet designed by Piet Hein Eek. 

Many great inspiring ideas came out this competion 

So this DIY idea is a great chance to create our own cabinet...
