Eastermood - Artilleriet

FOR US, Easter is a convivial feast with very few demands.
The flavours are in focus, with the touch of decoration
as an extra spice. Enrich traditional or innovative, much, little or nothing at all.
This year we want it soft, slow and sober. Somehow classical, but still with a twist.
Do Easter in your mood, at your pace.  - Arilleriet  -

Always love the amazing campaigns of Swedish company Artilleriet
So when they announced their Eastermood campaign yesterday,
of course I visited the site straight away...

I´m never really exuberant with Easter decoration but this beautiful decoration is
very inviting and subtle dont you think so?
Just the perfect inspiration to do Easter in my own mood!

Easter - DIY dragon eggs

.
Ofcourse we have our "painting and decorating eggs" tradition (mostly last-minute)
but to be honest I don´t mind a lot about Easter decorations.

Last weekend we did a little try-out for our diy dyeing Easter eggs project.
Inspired by the beautiful and simple idea, seen at the blog of Helena Nord at Elle decoration,
we started with the preparations in order to dye eggs with natural products that
almost anyone already have at home and we found Onions, Pears,
Blueberries and Beets for our painting project. After covering the bottom of the pan
with hydro grains or shells (to create a special effect) we cooked the eggs
in the water together with the desired additions.

We started with the berries and according to the description at Helena's post
we added a spoon of vinegar and a little salt. We have cooked the eggs for about
20 minutes and after that we left them in the pan for a few hours

We were really pleasantly surprised by the beautiful effect and the colors that the eggs were given by the used fruits and vegetables. My son and his friends really liked them in
any case... especially because they resembled very much on dragon eggs ;-)
It was really fun this time to color eggs in a natural way and according to
the reaction of the boys ... it was very successful!

Happy Easter everyone, hope you and your family will have a great time!

Fijne Paasdagen allemaal... Geniet lekker!

splashed Easter eggs

photos elvs

Yesterday we did some last minute Easter egg decoration
ofcourse we have our painting egg tradition but always as a kind of
 last minute diyproject I guess
I don´t mind a lot about Easter decorations
the boys are getting bigger and prefer the chocolate versions ;-)

just love the upcoming splashing trend that we see more and more
a trend that inspired me to create my own minimalistic Easter
beautiful and simple as I love it so much!

Happy Easter everyone, hope you and your family will have a great time!

                                                                                                                diy needings: eggs, ink, straw

Blue

Ofcourse we have our "painting and decorating eggs" tradition
but actually I don´t mind a lot about Easter decorations.

I have chosen to keep the table setting very simple and
inspired by the beautiful shades that we see a lot in the blogosphere
I will just add some dark blue assessories to our greyish tableware.
I guess the combination with the found chocolate brown "details"
of the children will be perfect for a happy Easter mood ;-)

Wish you all a happy Easter and a great long weekend!

PS. curious about our egg-decoration plans?
We found a lovely and simple diy idea here
