# on my shelf - Robine of the actproductionblog

One of my favourite hashtags on instagram is the #onmyshelf one
just love to admire all these beautiful styled shelves
(or whatever used... tables, cabinets, cupboard)
but most of all the added personal touch
gives us the idea getting to know each other a little bit...
and that is what attracts me most!

because it thought it would be fun to share and to
be inspired by each other's creative ideas
a little while ago I asked :Would you like to share your #shelf??
Robine has send me a very spontaneous mail and joined in!

Robine is a dutch lifestyle blogger and on her blog "the act productions lookbook
she shares her love and obsession for good visuals, styling tips
and secret adresses and you will notice her passion for conscious living,
in every aspect of my life; interior design, food, fashion, health.

this week she shares her shelfie and the story behing...

Robine wrote me:

Above my bed there is a white 'blind' shelf from IKEA
as it looks right now - seen from my bedit looks perfectly peaceful and simple,
but there's always the opportunity to go a bit crazy with styling
and change it as I wish;)

For me an interior should not only contain 'it-design' pieces
with just some symmetric placed flowerpots! So dull!
I rather prefer to combine 'it-design' pieces with for example
a closet that used to belong to my grandmother,
Just stall little baby shoes of your child on a shelf,
frame your pictures, put up a poster with a quote in which
you recognize yourself (that is 'totally you') .
It shows who lives in that house and makes it more personal!

On my shelf you can find our wedding invitation card in a photoframe,
it's designed by me and  inspired by the work of Fabien Baron .

Next to our wedding invitation stands a framed image that I really like
It's from the first edition of the Dutch Harper's Bazaar magazine.
Even though I am a blogger and I am in love with Instagram,
I just can't imagine that printed editions will ever disappear!
I often buy  (expensive) magazines and can't throw them away,
so I frequently frame beautiful editorials and advertorials
and put them on my shelf.

You can always find scented candles in my bedroom,
at the moment I have the Patchouli candle from Diptique
and a candle from H&M
Lately I'm giving some (not-so-subtle) hints to my husband to buy me
the XL RO scented  candle from Skandinavisk
Would love to have that one because it smells utterly gorgeous
and because there is this funny connection with my name
my name is RObine, (everybody calls me 'Ro').
Other things "on my side of the shelf" ;)
are jewelry boxes and I have my coral earrings on display as well!
